Taiwan Church Planters

Our Vision

Taiwan has the largest Han Chinese population outside of China with a total population of roughly 23 million people, and among those people only 3% are Christians. Among the working class population of Taiwan, less than 1/2 of 1% are Christians, and even fewer Christians can be found among the minority Hakka population. The dominant religions are Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and folk religion which includes ancestor worship. But due to the widespread influence of prosperity preachers, the fastest growing churches in Taiwan are those which emphasize the promises of health and material blessings instead of Christ, His Word, and the Gospel.

There is an urgent need for new Church planting networks to be formed around Taiwan's largest population centers. Therefore, our vision is to work as closely as possible with local pastors and evangelists to plant Gospel-centered Churches that are committed to proclaiming Christ from all of Scripture.

We long to see the multiplication of Churches throughout Taiwan that are committed to Gospel-focused community, discipleship, and preaching. Taiwan is blessed to have a solid Reformed Seminary in Taipei called China Reformed Theology Seminary (CRTS), and we would like to work with its graduates who sense a call to be Church Planters.

Please continue to pray for Taiwan and for God to raise up more workers to boldly preach the Gospel and plant hundreds of vibrant, healthy, Christ-exalting Churches throughout the Island.
